13/February/2008(Wed)GenoMembrane, Inc. has launched a new product, “Human OCTN2 Vesicles”, in the category of “SLC Transporter Vesicles”. GenoMembrane, Inc. was the first company in the world to produce SLC Transporter Vesicles which can be applied to vesicular transport assay. We introduced the following new product in February 2008. ・ Human OCTN2 Vesicles (Cat. No. GM1001) Human OCNT2 Vesicles, which are suitable for vesicular transport assay, are prepared from purified plasma membranes isolated from a human kidney cell line (HEK293) expressing carnitine transporter OCTN2 (SLC22A5). The transport activity of OCTN2 for test compounds can be evaluated by determining the amounts of the compounds incorporated into the vesicles. The OCNT2 Vesicles product is licensed from Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Click here for details of OCTN2 A protocol for vesicular transport assay with Human OCNT2 Vesicles in a 96-well plate format is available, and is suitable for high-throughput screening. It should be noted that some substrates may cause high background because of endogenous transport activity in HEK293 membranes or non-specific adsorption of radiolabeled compound.
