 We are very pleased to announce that GenoMembrane has concluded the distribution agreement with Biopredic International (France) as of March 26, 2007. Biopredic will distribute drug transporter products of GenoMembrane in Europe.

GenoMembrane develops, manufactures and provides drug transporter products (membranes and vesicles) in Japan and provides screening service using drug transporters as well.

It is known that transporters play key role in drug disposition, therefore, it becomes important to investigate drug transporters in pharmacokinetic and toxicological studies of drug development.

FDA (Food and Drug Administration, USA) drafted a guidance for industry focused on drug interaction studies based on P450, drug metabolizing enzymes, and drug transporters in 2006.

“It is expected that necessity of drug transporter in drug development will increase and eventually relevant market will grow up rapidly”, Dr. Yabuuchi said, CEO of GenoMembrane, Inc. Japan.
